Castles made of sand
Down the street you can hear her scream you're a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbors start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
And so castles made of sand fall in the sea, eventually
Down the street you can hear her scream you're a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbors start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
And so castles made of sand fall in the sea, eventually
A little Indian brave who before he was ten,
Played war games in the woods with his Indian friends
And he built up a dream that when he grew up
He would be a fearless warrior Indian Cheif
Many moons past and more the dream grew strong until
Tomorrow he would sing his first war song and fight his first battle
But something went wrong, surprise attack killed him in his sleep that night
And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually
There was a young girl, who's heart was a frown
Cause she was crippled for life,
And she couldn't speak a sound
And she wished and prayed she could stop living,
So she decided to die
She drew her wheelchair to the edge of the shore
And to her legs she smiled you wont hurt me no more
But then a sight she'd never seen made her jump and say
Look a golden winged ship is passing my way
And it really didn't have to stop, it just kept on going...
And so castles made of sand slips into the sea, eventually

Carey
The wind is in from Africa
Last night I couldn't sleep
Oh, you know it sure is hard to leave here Carey
But it's really not my home
My fingernails are filthy, I got beach tar on my feet
And I miss my clean white linen and my fancy French cologne
Oh Carey get out your cane
And I'll put on some silver
Oh you're a mean old Daddy, but I like you fine
Come on down to the Mermaid Cafe and I will buy you a bottle of wine
And we'll laugh and toast to nothing and smash our empty glasses down
Let's have a round for these freaks and these soldiers
A round for these friends of mine
Let's have another round for the bright red devil
Who keeps me in this tourist town
Come on, Carey, get out your cane
I'll put on some silver
Oh you're a mean old Daddy, but I like you
Maybe I'll go to Amsterdam
Or maybe I'll go to Rome
And rent me a grand piano and put some flowers 'round my room
But let's not talk about fare-thee-welIs now
The night is a starry dome.
And they're playin' that scratchy rock and roll
Beneath the Matalla Moon
Come on, Carey, get out your cane
And I'll put on some silver
You're a mean old Daddy, but I like you
The wind is in from Africa
Last night I couldn't sleep
Oh, you know it sure is hard to leave here
But, it's really not my home
Maybe it's been too long a time
Since I was scramblin' down in the street
Now they got me used to that clean white linen
And that fancy French cologne
Oh Carey, get out your cane
I'll put on my finest silver
We'll go to the Mermaid Cafe
Have fun tonight
I said, Oh, you're a mean old Daddy, but you're out of sight
Last night I couldn't sleep
Oh, you know it sure is hard to leave here Carey

A song by "The Band" from the late sixties.
With a nod toward the oncoming "cuts"
King Harvest has Surely Come.
Corn in the fields listen for the rush
when the wind blows across the water.
The smell of the leaves from the magnolia trees
in the meadow.
(King harvest has surely come)

Dry summer then comes fall,
which I depend on most of all.
Hey Rainmaker can you hear my call?
Please let these crops grow tall.
Long enough, Ive been up on skid row
and its plain to see Ive nothing to show
I'm glad to pay those union dues,
just dont judge me by my shoes.
A scarecrow and
A yellow moon
and pretty soon a carnival on the edge of town.
(King Harvest is surely come)
Last Year, this time, wasnt no joke.
my whole barn went up in smoke.
My horse Jethro, well he went mad
I cant ever remember things being that bad.
I work for the union 'cause shes so good to me
and I'm bound to come out on top
thats were she says I should be.
I will hear every word that the boss might say
for he's the one who hands me down my pay
Looks like this time I'm going to get to stay
I'm a union man now all the way.
Corn in the fields, listen for the rush
when the wind blows cross the water.
King Harvest is surely come.
Jumping Jack Flash
I was born in a cross fire hurricane
and I howled at my ma in the driving rain.
I was schooled with a strap right across my back.
I was drowned, I was washed up and left for dead,
I fell down to my feet and I saw they bled.
I was crowned with a spike right through my head.
But its all right now
in fact its a gas
Jumping Jack Flash is a gas gas gas.
Dont Step on my Blue Suede Shoes
Well,
It's a one for the money.
Two for the Show
Three to get ready
And go Man go.
But whatever you do.
Stay off a my Blue Suede Shoes
Little Wing
Well, she's walking through the clouds,
With a circus mind that's running wild,
Butterflies and Zebras,
And Moonbeams and fairy tales.
That's all she ever thinks about.
Riding with the wind.
When I'm sad, she comes to me,
With a thousand smiles she gives to me free.
It's alright, she says it's alright,
Take anything you want from me,
Anything.
Fly on little wing.
With a circus mind that's running wild,
Butterflies and Zebras,
And Moonbeams and fairy tales.
That's all she ever thinks about.
Riding with the wind.
When I'm sad, she comes to me,
With a thousand smiles she gives to me free.
It's alright, she says it's alright,
Take anything you want from me,
Anything.
Fly on little wing.
